Class Experience
Math Talks classes are a fun and interactive way to learn new math strategies. This fractions and percent class explores strategies to solve percent problems using mental math. We will begin each session with a minds-on math activity to prompt learners to think about fractions and percent. Learners will develop an understanding of the relationship between fractions and percent. We will determine what is a benchmark number (25%, 50%, 10%, 100%) and discuss how using benchmark numbers helps us...
