In this 7 week class, students will develop and improve their understanding of addition and subtraction facts through real-life images, videos, math tools, and games. Each week will consist of a new strategy and theme of images.

Class Experience
Students will learn and build fluency in addition and subtraction facts.
No sensitive subjects will be taught or explained in this course.
Homework (if any) will be playing the math games as a family to help your child build fluency. Additionally, students make practice theirs facts with family or on a worksheet. A worksheet may provided weekly upon request of parents.
1 file available upon enrollmentStudents will need a pencil, paper, and occasionally the provided pdf. Most of the worksheets will be viewed in class but parents can print the worksheets each week.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Assessment for this course will be informal and based on classroom observations. By the end of the 7 weeks students will receive a written narrative of progress. At this time, they may sign up for Part 2.
1 hour 20 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
In class, we may watch instructional content on google slides All content will be reviewed prior to class and will only be controlled by the teacher.
