This time is for all learners, whether the student needs a slower pace and reteaching of a specific concept, or whether the student is looking for math enrichment. If you can communicate with me the desired concepts you would like us to work on, I will develop a lesson with the following goals: 1. Assess your prior knowledge. 2. Demonstrate how your prior knowledge connects with the new concept. 3. Build upon your foundation with visual examples of the new concept. 4. Allow you to discover patterns in the process so that you will understand WHY and not just HOW to perform the new task. 5. Gradually move away from using visuals as you will begin to be able to visually manipulate the problem in your head. 6. Apply the learning to new problems. 7. Continue to practice for efficiency.
