Two day class, subtracting fractions. Students learn the basic operation in working with fractions. Students will realize subtracting fractions uses many of the same principals as adding.

Class Experience

What will be taught:
Day One:
Terms to remember: subtract, difference, like fractions
Students learn to find the difference in fraction problems
Students learn to subtract fractions and write the difference as a reduced fraction
Students learn to do like fractions whose difference is one or greater than one.
Students learn how to subtract exchange in subtracting fractions
Day 2 
Students learn how to exchange in fractions mixed numbers like denominators.
Students learn word problems using...

Students will learn to understand how to subtract fractions. Students learn to subtract fractions and write the difference as a reduced fraction.

Work sheet will be provided for more practice with answer key.
