Learning Goals

Students will use addition and subtraction within 100 to solve 1- and 2-step word problems involving adding to, taking from, putting together, taking apart, and comparing, with unknowns in all positions. (Common Core Math Standard: 2.OA.A.1)
Students will solve 2-step word problems using the four operations. Represent them using equations with a letter for the unknown. Assess the reasonableness of answers using a variety of strategies. (Common Core Math Standard: 3.OA.D.8)
