During this one-to-one tutoring session, your student will have individualized guidance for a specific elementary math skill. My goal is to help students MAKE SENSE of what they are learning, by focusing on the "WHY" and "HOW".

Homework
1 hour per week. Additional practice may be provided per parent/student request. I may also choose to provide extra practice activities at my discretion. Completion of these activities will be optional but beneficial for student progress. When I assign extra practice, students are encouraged to submit their work to me for feedback, which will be provided within 24 hours of submission. If work is submitted on the weekend, please allow until the following Monday for teacher feedback.Assessment

I can provide remediation/intervention for math skills, homework help, or enrichment for students who are needing an extra challenge. 🤩This session is designed for students I have previously worked with, rather than first time students.🤩 _______________________________________________________ **Important: If your student has not had a private tutoring session with me before, please register for my TRIAL SESSION (linked above).** The trial session is linked to a FIRST TIME TUTORING SURVEY from which I use feedback to develop lessons, whereas this ongoing session is designed for students I have worked with previously. _______________________________________________________ If your student has math homework assignments that you would like for me to help with, you may send those to me as well. Otherwise, I will design a lesson to suit the needs that you express to me and others I have noticed in our prior sessions. Additionally, if your student has not previously submitted a screener assessment to me, I may ask him or her to complete one prior to our scheduled session so I can better individualize my instruction. I believe very strongly in focusing on the "WHY" and "HOW". I will work hard to ensure that your student grasps each math concept in a way that helps them to grow into lifelong math learners. _______________________________________________________ I can provide instruction with any elementary math topic. A few examples of topics are: 👉addition & subtraction with and without regrouping 👉time/measurement 👉multiplication & division of whole numbers and decimals 👉fraction concepts and operations 👉basic algebra concepts 👉measurement/graphing/basic geometry 👉number sense 👉problem solving 👉skip counting 👉decimal concepts 👉powers of ten 👉rounding 👉volume If you know your student's specific struggle and it is not listed above, feel free to message me prior to scheduling a session to ensure I can provide instruction.
