US Grade 4 - 5
Does your learner struggle to remember math concepts they learned the week prior? Are they unable to recall how to solve math problems that they just saw? Do you ask your learner math questions and are met with a blank stare? If you answered yes to any of those questions, then this class is for your learner! ➡This class meets twice per week ⬅ In this weekly review class, we will touch on math concepts that are too important to forget. Sometimes curriculum moves too quickly for our learners and they have trouble retaining concepts that have just been taught. We will review topics such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and problem solving. Students can pop in for any concepts they need practice with. The structure of the class is mostly interactive problem solving and applying what they know. Additional practice pages may be made available each week for learners to continue to practice what they know. ~ Please Review Topics - Learners should have a basic understanding of the concept being taught for the week. ~ ➡️Weekly Schedule: Week of Nov 27: Reducing and Finding Equivalent Fractions and Ratios: Applying GCF and LCM with fractions and ratios. Hi friends! I cannot wait to learn with you! I earned a degree in Early Childhood and Special Education. Currently, I live in Michigan with my husband and our fur babies. You may even see a guest appearance from some of them!
I believe that learning should be fun and exciting! Learning something new should transport us into a new world where we can use our imaginations to grow ideas. Children need movement and exploration to develop skills- even through a screen! My classes focus on building from the ground up. If we do not have a solid foundation, then we cannot build up too high. My classes are learner focused and I adjust difficulty based on student and parent feedback.
My job as an educational facilitator is to model and provide students with the tools they need to be successful. I am very excited for us to work together to learn skills that we can carry with us on our educational journey.
