In this one-time class, we will use addition, subtraction, missing addends, missing subtrahends, comparing numbers, and odd/even numbers to complete a digital math quest.

Description

Class Experience

*The class is set for 45 minutes, but I will stay extra time (if needed) for the kids to complete the quest as it sometimes takes 5 extra minutes. The class is capped at 4 learners to provide more individual attention.

An unusual lightning storm lit up the sky causing a blackout at school. Everyone is sent home, and YOU are the last to leave when something strange happens! The jungle has taken over everything and you are trapped! Mouse and Owl will guide you on the math quest as you figure...

I have been a licensed and certified K-8 classroom teacher for over 25 years.

The goal of this class is to use various math skills to solve math problems in a fun and interactive way.

The students will need to bring a small whiteboard, dry erase marker, and eraser (or paper and pencil) to work out math problems presented in the math quest.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
