Welcome Math Detectives! In this special math mystery class, learners will engage in both a math mystery lesson and a mini science lesson. The math detectives will begin the class learning fun facts about pumpkins. Then, they will look at a series of clues to solve two back to back math mysteries. At the end of the class, learners will be playing a pumpkin-themed game with the teacher. This class will focus on addition doubles and some really interesting facts about pumpkins. In order for learners to get the most out of this class, they will need to have some prior knowledge of addition and subtraction. Learners will also need to know how to count up to 20. This class is geared mostly toward advanced kindergarten and first grade students.
