I can’t wait to help you reach your math goals! I am a math teacher with over a decade of experience teaching middle and high school math. I was sick and tired of seeing students struggle and even fail because they were lacking basic foundational skills. They were a little behind going into middle school and fell further and further behind each year until they were failing in high school and facing serious consequences like not being able to apply to 4 year colleges or not...
I want each student to feel confident in their ability to succeed in math class! 🔶 Students will master the most key foundational math skills for middle school. 🔶 Students will feel more confident and more successful in math class. 🔶 Students will know how to efficiently utilize their resources.
10+ years classroom teaching 6th-10th grade math. Math Credential and Masters Degree in Teaching.
There will be a short assignment after each class session, so twice a week. The 2 short HW assignments should be submitted by Sunday each week. I will provide feedback.
Pen, paper & folder. PDFs of the lesson notes may be provided for learners to print for class but they will not be required.
I will have students take an initial assessment of their skills before the class begins so I can see their current levels and how to best address their needs. We will conclude with the same assessment at the end of the 6 weeks to mark their progress.
2 hours 45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
We will use Google Classroom and Blooket for practice games. Students will NOT need to log in or any provide personal information. They will NOT need an account. I provide a link in class for them to access the live game so only students in the class will have access. They can use their computer and do not need a separate device.
