Teacher expertise and credentials
WELCOME to the U Crew page! 🙂 Mrs. Urish here! Yes, "U Crew" is a play on my last name--and I cannot WAIT to get to teach y-o-U! As an elementary teacher for the last 11 years, I know that I can reach every learner AND create a fun learning environment at the same time! I love teaching math, kitchen chemistry, reading skills, and more! I enjoy sports, being outside, and spending time with friends and family (including my goofy 2-year-old, Kinley)!
Professionally, I have a degree in Elementary Education and a Masters in Curriculum and Design. Aside from everyday teaching, I've taught summer College for Kids (which is pure learning FUN), lead summer camps, and coached girls' basketball! Working with youth has always been a passion of mine, and I firmly believe that the best learning comes from the strongest relationships. I love bringing learning to life for my students, making content relevant to them, and watching those "light bulb" moments occur! I have zero doubt that with effort and patience, every child can learn!
That said, what are you waiting for? Join our U Crew! Can't wait to see "U" in class! 🙂
