Class Experience

US Grade 3 - 5
Are you ready to have some fun learning math? In this one time class, your child will develop algebraic thinking skills while solving a variety of math puzzles including picture puzzles, logic puzzles, and brain teasers. Focus will be on logical thinking and order of operations (including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division). The challenges range from basic to advanced and are ideal for students in grades 3 through 6.

Working on math puzzles gives your students an opportunity to think critically and deeply about mathematics, develop problem-solving strategies, and work through challenging problems—plus they’re super fun!

I look forward to meeting your child soon!!

Hello! My name is Teacher Christa, and I'm excited to teach your child! I have a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Saskatchewan! I currently live in Alberta, Canada and teach full time to a Grade 4 class. I teach all subject area including literacy, numeracy, social studies, science, health and art. I started my teaching career as a Kindergarten to Grade 6 music teacher. I then taught a Grade 2/3 class for many years, as well as Grade 2, and now currently Grade 4. I have been teaching for 24 years and each day I get to step into my classroom brings me joy! Primary children are my passion.

Outside of my classroom, I love to spend time with my husband and my 14 year old daughter. We love going for hikes, listening to music, dancing, and traveling!

In my classroom I want to make learning fun, enjoyable and not feel like work! I love seeing a child's face light up when they learn something, and want to make learning an exciting adventure! I look forward to seeing your child in my classroom!
