45 mins in-class hoursClass Experience
In this interactive 45 minute class students learn to tell time using a digital and analog clock. If your child struggles with telling time or needs to review, this is the perfect class! Topics covered will include: - Skip counting - Vocabulary used for telling time - Units of measure for time (second, minute, hour) - Different types of clocks (digital, analog, and those with roman numerals or different styles) I believe that learning should be fun. So we will use music, games, and group activities to help build our skills together.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello families!
My name is Tawnie and I have been working with children for over 20 years, and homeschooling for over 5 years. I'm finishing my teaching credential at Sacramento State University in California, focusing on child development and education. I have a background teaching dance to children (and their parents too) and working in a variety of classroom settings. I was also a math tutor for a few years before I switched my major from mathematics to education.
I love nature and all things in it, from furry friends, creepy crawlies, to the ones that are larger than life. Growing up on a farm, I have a passion for all animals and the outdoors. When not outside, I like to spend my time creating by making jewelry, working on craft projects, dancing. I also enjoy playing video games.
I believe that children learn best when they are active, feel inspired to wonder, and safe to ask questions. My hope is to be able to offer students an opportunity to learn new things, build up their skills, and inspire them to want to learn more from the comfort of their home.
