This is a learner-directed tutoring sessions for students who are struggling in high school math including 6th & 7th grade math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 2 and Precalculus. I help students by giving them strategies for approaching problems. I find that students' confidence levels rise when they have true understanding of a concept and are given a step by step approach of finding the answer. Students will improve their understand of the math concepts that they are struggling with. They will have the opportunity to see the teacher work through example problems and then have the chance to work problems with the teachers assistance if needed.
Pencil, paper and graphing calculator (for Algebra 2 and Precalculus). Students must submit material that they'd like to cover in our tutoring session at least 24 hours before the beginning of class
