Homework
1 hour per week. Students will be given one page of homework after each class so they are able to review the new skills we worked on at home. This homework should take each student 30 minutes or less to complete.Assessment
There will be no formal assessment but I am always available to discuss student progress with parents and guardians.Class Experience

Welcome to Math Made Easy: One on One Support for Young Learners. In this fun, tutoring style class, we'll ensure each learner builds a solid foundation and masters key concepts including number recognition, addition, subtraction, place value, shapes, measurements, time and more! In a one on one setting students will often feel less nervous making it easier to learn new and otherwise difficult concepts. This class will be a supportive environment where students will be encouraged and supported every step of the way. This is an ideal opportunity for students who have difficulty learning math in a group setting, or for those wanting an individualized approach. As this class is a one on one style class our schedule will be learner directed. We'll make sure to work at a pace that is comfortable for each learner, focusing on any areas of difficulty. Students are welcome to bring questions and problems from their school curriculums to class or we can work on practice problems designed by Teacher Mel.

Students will review and master concepts such as number recognition, addition, subtraction, place value, shapes, measurements, and telling time using an analog clock.Other Details

Students should bring paper and pencil or a white board and marker to each class.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
