Description
Class Experience
In this class, our main focus will be on the foundations of place value. Students will be able to read, write, compare, and round six-digit numbers. We will be working towards mastering how to identify the name and value of digits in six-digit numbers. We will also be working towards mastering how to compare numbers using symbols and rounding. We will be using virtual manipulatives and pictures to help build our understanding of these numbers.
I have been teaching these math standards for 6 years and am very confident and comfortable with the curriculum. I have also taught this content with special education and ESL students and am able to reach a variety of learner needs.
All learners will need either a whiteboard and dry erase marker or a paper and pencil to complete their work.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
