ln this small class, students follow a full year of grade 8 math. I help students see themselves as confident and competent mathematicians who are able to apply their math knowledge both in and out of the classroom. We focus on building confidence with a mathematical toolkit, conceptual understanding, learning strategies and reasoning skills. Frequency: includedDetails: Because this is such a small class, during the class I am able to spend time focusing on each student. When I feel that extra help is needed, I will include that student to be active in the discussion.
Students should have completed grade 7 math with a passing grade.
Please bring any class notes, if provided beforehand, paper to write on and pencils/erasers. Students may use a calculator.
