Class Experience

US Grade Kindergarten - 2
Beginner Level
This class includes practice of addition, subtraction, and the introduction of basic fractions. Each class the student will have a class focused on a specific math skill and the foundations for that skill. We will practice math skills using demonstration and active participation. The student will participate in solving math equations that better their understanding of concepts including equal, addition, subtraction, and simple fractions. This will help them become aware of number use in the real world. I stay aware of the students' needs and interests and adjust class content accordingly for the maximum learning benefit for each student. Students should know how to count to 100 or more, have a basic understanding of the values of numbers, and ability to write numbers. This is a short course to introduce fractions to the young learner.
