Description
Class Experience
This class is taught in English.
Students will build a solid foundation of concepts by: -practicing basic math facts -learning different strategies to solving a variety of problems -using substitution (or other) methods to check answers for problems
I'm bringing a wealth of experience, content knowledge, and passion for math to the Outschool platform. My 25 years of instruction include being in the classroom, working with students with special needs, as well as working as a virtual learning teacher with a large school system in the state of Maryland.
No homework will be assigned, however, when necessary, I will recommend/suggest activities that can be done to help support students with their math goals.
Three-ring binder, pencils, calculator (if needed/allowed)
No assessment, but if students have a homework assignment to complete, I will work with them on the activity to make sure the answers are correct.
1 hour per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
