Welcome to a fun-filled Math Review Summer Camp! Over the course of four weeks, we will review all math standards learned in 2nd grade. We will meet 4 days a week for 4 weeks. Each session will be about 45 minutes long. Week 1Lesson 1Place Value and Comparing NumbersLearners will review concepts in place value including identifying places, identifying values of numbers, and comparing numbers up to three digits. Learners will practice these skills by playing a teacher-created Gimkit!Lesson 2Adding and Subtracting 3-digit NumbersLearners will review strategies for adding and subtracting numbers up to 3-digits. Learners will practice these skills by playing a teacher-created Blooket!Lesson 3Mental Addition and Subtraction, Adding 10sLearners will review quick addition and subtraction up to 20, and adding 10s. Learners will practice these skills by playing a teacher-created Quizlet!Lesson 4Adding More than two 2-digit NumbersLearners will review strategies for adding three or four 2-digit numbers. Learners will practice these skills by playing a teacher-created Bingo!Week 2Lesson 5Addition Word ProblemsLearners will review steps to solving word problems with addition. Learners will practice these skills by playing a teacher-created digital board game, Math Flight!Lesson 6Subtraction Word ProblemsLearners will review steps to solving word problems with subtraction. Learners will practice these skills by playing a teacher-created game called That's Not Fair!Lesson 7Two-Step Word ProblemsLearners will review steps for solving two-step word problems. Learners will practice these skills by playing a teacher-created Jeopardy.Lesson 8Preparing for MultiplicationLearners will review equal groups, arrays and repeated addition for beginning multiplication. Learners will practice these skills by playing a teacher-created Socratice game, Space Race.Week 3Lesson 9Measuring LengthLearners will review tools used to measuring length and how to use those tools.Lesson 10Length DifferencesLearners will review how to determine the differences between lengths of two objects.Lesson 11Measuring and Line PlotsLearners will review how to organize measurements into line plots.Lesson 12Picture and Bar GraphsLearners will review how to read and create picture graphs and bar graphs.Week 4Lesson 13Telling TimeLearners will review telling time to 5 minutes. Learners will practice these skills by playing a teacher-created game called Cardtegories (similar to a Trivial Pursuit type game)!Lesson 14Solving Problems with MoneyLearners will review the 4 main coins, and how to solve word problems with money. Learners will practice these skills by playing a teacher-created Quizalize.Lesson 15Identifying ShapesLearners will review attributes of shapes and identifying shapes given various attributes. Learners will practice these skills by playing a teacher-created game called Hot Seat (think Password meets 25 Words or Less)!Lesson 16FractionsLearners will review halves, thirds and fourths.
- Learners will review all math concepts from second grade. Learners will also have the opportunity to work in groups of 2-3 in various games.
Learners should have completed second grade, or have worked through second grade math. This class is strictly to review 2nd grade math concepts using the Common Core Standards.
Learners should have something to write with and something to write on (paper/pencil, whiteboard/marker, etc) for working out problems.

This camp will utilize several different digital resources, including 3rd party approved resources. We will also utilize several other learning game platforms: Baamboozle, Quizalize, Slides with Friends, Blooket All question sets for all games will be created by the teacher, Miss K. Learners will not need accounts, they will be provided a code to play games where applicable.
