Beginner Level
This is a great class for learners who are new to fractions, or want to be able to discuss/visualize fractions. Students will discuss and compare the fractions to better understand numerators, denominators, and simplified fractions. We will then use these visuals to create a written fraction equation for each example. During this time we will use the visual to discuss what numerators and denominators are. Students will improve their understanding of the main components of fractions. They will be able to identify fractions, add them, subtract them, and find equivalent fractions.
Homework Offered
Students will have a math activity to complete after each class. This will allow me to evaluate their understanding and tailor classes to best help them. All activities must be complete and turned in 48 hourse before the next course in order to evaluate and adjust.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class

I encourage students to participate using a whiteboard (Dollar Tree has them for $1) or in a notebook they have at home. This will allow them to activitely participate and get the most out of this class.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
