US Grade 1 - 4
Students will learn all the basic fundamentals of arithmetic, word problems, fractions, decimals, and others from 1st-8th grade. Each of these will be covered over an 8-week loop that students can join in at anytime. This loop is subject to go faster depending on the students in the class(it is designed with the slowest speed in mind) so it is possible we could do this material in as quickly as 5 weeks but usually it falls somewhere between 5-8 weeks ***2pm Central Time will be restarting May 22 most likely.*** *** 7pm Central Time will be restarting in mid June** If you see any other times those are start dates 1. Adding and subtracting rules and shortcuts for Integers (whole numbers) 2. Multiplying and dividing rules and shortcuts for Integers (whole numbers) including times table memorization plan 3. P(G)EMDAS and basic word problem info 4. Fractions and Fraction Arithmetic 5. Variables and how to do basic one-step equations 6. Decimals, Rounding and Decimal Arithmetic 7. Exponents and Roots 8. Review and Assessment The general focus of the class will be on Elementary and Middle School fundamentals that are usually causing students to stumble on more difficult work in their current classes. THIS IS NOT a higher level class like Algebra or Geometry but we will use the difficult problems to identify fundamental problems. The general flow of classes will be like this: We will start on the topic for the session and students will gain some understanding on the topic during the first of the two weekly classes. We will do some practice in that class and then for the second class of the week will cover the rest of that topic and have more practice problems.
