Undo what can be undone! In this one-time lesson, students will use addition to check subtraction to make sure their answer is correct. Learners will discover how subtraction is the opposite operation of addition from a certified Elementary Teacher. We will carefully solve subtraction word problems by looking for key information to solve it. Then we will check our problems by using addition to make sure we solved them correctly. This class will be a fun and exciting way to learn this math...
Learners will be able to use the inverse relationship of addition and subtraction.
I am a certified classroom teacher with 17 years of experience.
Learners will want either a marker board and marker or a piece of paper and pencil to solve math problems.
40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
