***This is asynchronous course is designed for individuals who respond well to independent learning structures and /or have accountability support available to ensure participation. If your learner requires more structured support or prefer a more collaborative experience, I highly recommend considering enrollment in my LIVE, synchronous course, where your learner will benefit from real-time instruction and accountability.

This class will not meet face-to-face. Each week will consist of a variety of activities to improve their math skills and knowledge.  Interactive task will be submitted to the teacher and feedback will be provided via Outschool messages.   A wonderful benefits of this flex class is that learners can take as much time as they want to review the activities. 

Units Covered (Priority Standards ONLY): Ratios and Proportional Relationships, Number System, Expressions and Equations, Geometry, Statistics and Probability!  This crash course is focused on priority standards only.  It is purposed to provide a foundation for Math 8 success!  The standards are not taught in any order specific to any state but structured in a manner appropriate for this course.

The order in which units are covered is subject to change at the instructors discretion but this will not affect the curriculum covered.

Class Structure/Experience: We will begin each session with an opening activity.   Students will learn and practice NEW concepts.  

Teaching Style:  Student-Centered 

Research proves that a student-centered instructional model is key to learning!  

Interaction Level:  Medium to High !!!  Students will have an opportunity to engage with me and each other through audio and discussions via their learner chat!  It is my first priority to ensure the safety of all students so open classroom chat will be limited.  All interactive activities are selected to maximize learning while providing a safe environment to do so!


Prior Knowledge: 6th or 7th Grade Standards !!! I prefer students to have foundational 6th or 7th grade skills before enrolling in my course.
