Class Experience

This one time summer themed class will challenge students to solve a variety of math problems, using an escape room format. Students will work together to find the magic seashells and break the sea monster's spell . They must find all of the shells and decode the riddle in 30 minutes.  Math problems are at fourth and fifth  grade level and involve a variety of concepts, including all four math operations, data, time, area, perimeter, and fractions. I served as a public school educator for over 26 years. During that time, I specialized in science, math, and STEM engineering design, including coding and robotics through after school programs. After leaving the classroom, I was a science and math instructional coach in the largest school district in my state, working to help teachers improve academic achievement in science and math with their students.
