How tall was the largest Easter egg ever created? How much did the largest chocolate egg weigh? How much does the average family spend on coloring eggs each year? Learners in this class will find the answers to trivia questions like these as they solve a series of challenging math puzzles and complex equations. Each correct answer earns a bright colored egg. In a race against time, learners will work as a team to collect as many eggs as they can. Along the way they will be developing number sense and computational skills including: 1. Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, and Division across Whole Numbers up to Hundred Thousands 2. Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, and Division across Multiples of 10 3. Simplifying Numeric Expressions Including Parentheses, Exponents, Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, and Division (PEMDAS)
Learning Goals
Learners will develop number sense and computational skills including:
1. Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, and Division across Whole Numbers up to Hundred Thousands
2. Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, and Division across Multiples of 10

As a recently retired Gifted and Talented Intervention Specialist, I have a passion for helping young children discover the joy of learning! Before moving into Gifted education, I taught elementary Math and Science to fourth and fifth grade students. In addition to my education certifications in Elementary Education, Gifted Education, and English as a Second Language, I also have a Bachelor's degree from Wake Forest University.
