Description
Class Experience
Students will be able to improve their mathematical skills through developing strategies to solve numerical and word problems independently with confidence.
My undergraduate degree is in Elementary Education with a Minor in Mathematics. I've a Masters in Student Affairs & Counseling. These two degrees along with my work experience meld nicely to help a learner develop positive character traits while working on core subject skills. I have experience teaching Math grades K-10th via Public School, Academy and Homeschooling.
Through communication the parent and I will decide on homework. I encourage learners to put in equal time to the tutoring session within the proceeding 48 hours. Practice following instruction is key to retention.

30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
During our class we may use additional 3rd party apps or websites not pre-approved by Outschool such as: Toy Theater - A free website containing math related games great for interactive practice of math facts Education.com - A website that I have lifetime membership to as a former public educator which can provide additional worksheets, activities and games for class use.
We will use the zoom whiteboard, Toy Theater, Education.com, Khan Academy, IXL and other resources as confirmed with parent.
