I am a passionate teacher with more than forty years experience teaching preschoolers to adults. I have taught in home-school preschools, private preschools and public preschools. I have trained teachers as an adjunct instructor at a community college, and have taught grades 2, 3, 4, and 5 in public and private schools. I've spent a large part of my career simultaneously holding workshops, and training and mentoring child care professionals. More than 100 child care professionals have earned a Child Development Credential (CDA credential) under my tutelage. Many more have completed their associates degree in Early Childhood Education. While my professional experience is extensive, the heart of my passion is kids. I love playing with children to help them learn. I love teaching adults so they learn to teach and play with children in the ways that best fit each child. I currently serve on the Board of Directors of the Georgia Association for the Education of Young Children, in addition to actively teaching classes in ESL to Preschoolers and teaching Outschool classes. Come learn with me...We'll have fun!
Gather or purchase materials needed for the next class. This will be posted in the classroom and in the description each week.
The supplies needed for each class are posted in the description section and in the classroom. Please check for supplies and come to class prepared. I find that most behavior problems result from disappointment when a child does not have the needed materials, and when he or she has trouble using his or her technology. For this reason, it is best to be nearby to help your student, if possible. ๐๐๐ฑ๐ญ ๐ ๐ข๐ซ๐ฌ๐ญ ๐ ๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ ๐๐๐๐ค๐ฌ ๐๐ฅ๐๐ฌ๐ฌ๐๐ฌ: week of October 1- 1 digit addition week of October 8- shapes week of October 15-measuring week of October 22- skip counting by 10's week of October 29- patterns
