Description

Class Experience

Students will count to 120.
Students will read number words 1-20.
Students will represent a number of objects with a written numeral 1-20.
Students will use pictures and words to compare numbers through 10.  
Students will model the concept of addition as increasing.
Students will solve addition sentences using + and =. 
Students will write addition sentences in vertical form.
Students will solve subtraction sentences using - and =.  
Students will write subtraction sentences to show the difference.  
Students will subtract in vertical form. 
Students will represent data with tally marks.
Students will read and use a pictograph to compare information.  
Students will read a bar graph and use it to compare information. 
Students will use bar graphs to solve problems. 
Students will understand greater than and less than
Students will read a calendar, tell time; write the date)
Students will learn how to represent a number line
Student will learn about money: coins and dollars
I am a certified teacher in elementary education in the states of Florida and New York for all subject areas.  I can provide modification and accommodations for students with special instructional needs.

A folder is highly recommended ( to put all assignments inside) worksheets will be provided upon enrollment ( parents will be given a worksheet per week) crayons ( will be needed for the crafts) pencil (will be needed for the worksheets) glue (glue stick) maybe needed for the craft portion of the lesson
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
40 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
