Class Experience

To be able to grow in confidence in math
To be able to use metacognitive skills to solve problems in math
To be able to ask questions to clarify understanding
I have been teaching in primary / elementary schools for many years. I am an experienced classroom primary / elementary school teacher and head of year. I have taught in London, North Africa and the Middle East and am now based in the U.S. With a wealth of experience, I enjoy helping children progress in their academic journey. I pride myself on ensuring that the materials are educational and engaging and that children leave the lesson knowing more than when they started. Progression in mathematics and moving forward with confidence is my key aim. I encourage children to clarify understanding and to develop the language and thinking tools to do this with confidence. I have also completed many training courses to help children become better writers, readers, speakers and mathematicians. I am looking forward to you joining me!
There will be weekly homework and challenges in the classroom.
Learners will need: - To be able to have access to a printer. - To be able to access Zoom tools such as the annotation tools and the text tool. - For learners to be able to have their printed work uploaded to the classroom via scan or photo.
