Class Experience
In this 5 week course, students will learn all of the foundational skills to prepare for a pre-algebra course, receive engaging assistance throughout a pre-algebra course or refresh on pre-algebra concepts. This class is great for any student who is looking for an exciting journey through pre-algebra. Hi learners and parents! I currently am a credentialed teacher in Washington State and hold my endorsements in biology, health and fitness. Last year, I taught algebra 2, environmental science, biology, health, physics and P.E. to middle and high school students. I have experience working with elementary-high school level learners in one on one and small groups settings as a tutor for math, English and science. I hold my Master's in Secondary Education. I received my B.S. in Athletic Training from Whitworth University.
Students will be working individually to complete practice problems.
Students will need an organized spiral notebook, set of lined paper or set of graph paper ready for each class.
Students will be assessed informally through practice problems and in class participation.
1 hour per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
