Teacher expertise and credentials
Welcome to my online classroom. My name is Jessica and I specialize in teaching math and science. While I primarily teach math, I also love sharing my love of horses and nature. I enjoy making learning engaging with an energetic personality, exciting games and learning resources.
I am a former public school teacher, but left the field when I had my first child. I have taught ages pre-k through 6th grade in private and public education. I specialized in 6th grade math and science for two of those school years. I have just recently received my Forest Teacher certification and opened a Nature Preschool on our farm.
I have a bachelor’s degree from The University of Louisville in Elementary Education with a focus on Math. I have a master’s degree from Western Kentucky University in Teacher Leadership with a focus on Math Coaching. Teaching is my passion.
I believe that all students can learn through positive encouragement and channeling their passions to make learning enjoyable. I try to instill a love of learning in my students by making lessons engaging and fun.
My pets include two German shepherds, one pony and two horses. My hobbies include, horseback riding, crafting, hiking, gardening and reclaiming old furniture. I can’t wait to meet and learn about your learner, too!
