In this 5 day camp, students will create fun projects using math skills: Build a Zoo, Be a Travel Agent, Plan a Party, Design a Carousel, and Create a Creepy Crawly Village.
Class experience
US Grade 4 - 6
Students will be taught a new skill each day. After the class, they will be assigned a project to complete. The project will be based on the skill they learn. Topics and projects include: Day 1 - Build a Zoo - area, perimeter, and animal research Day 2 - Be a Travel Agent - critical thinking, money skills, geography Day 3 - Design a Carousel - speaking and listening skills, critical thinking, area Day 4 - Create a Creepy Crawly Village - Multiplication and Division Day 5 - Presentations...

Students will practice area, perimeter, calculating a budget, measurements, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, critical thinking, problem solving, geography, and animal research.
Homework Offered
Students WILL have homework each day of the week. Homework will be graded based on a rubric and added up for a final grade. These will be projects based on the skills we practice in class.2 - 4 hours per week outside of class
