Class experience
In this five-day intensive, students will review and practice long multiplication and division with a focus on the 1-12's times tables practice as well as working with simple fractions. This class is an opportunity for graduating fourth graders to strengthen and solidify their math skills in preparation for fifth grade. Each day over the five-day intensive, students will warm up with mental math practice and story problems. We will then play math games games such as multiplication bingo and "24," followed by written practice of long multiplication and division problems. We will review working with simple fractions and measurement, and students will have the opportunity to work in pairs to solve problems as well as participate in the small group dynamic through puzzles, games and creative activities each day.
Students will be required to have paper and pencils, colored pencils and a ruler.
