US Grade 6 - 7
In this 3 day course, students will learn how to find the volume of selected 3D figures. I will display google slides with examples and annotate strategies for learners to apply to examples also in the presentation. Students will be allowed to annotate on screen for independent problems after the examples for each topic is reviewed. Participation from student in encouraged either through talking in discussions or in our chat tool. 3D figures that will be covered in Volume concept: Prisms, Cylinders and Cones. After examples are reviewed as a class with my guidance, we will move into an independent space where learner will be given time to solve for problems at their own pace and discuss all together. Calculator is encouraged for class as we will work with calculations including pie and squared numbers.

Class will discuss:
- Model Key Terms
- Units from the 3D figures (inches, feet, centimeters)
- Formulas used to find the volume of prisms, cylinders and cones

Day 1: Prisms 
Day 2: Cylinder
Day 3: Cone

Extra problems for students to practice in between classes may be requested.
