Description
Class Experience
Students will sing, dance and play along with music and online games to reinforce math concepts. Students will learn addition through games and visual manipulatives. Students will learn skip counting through songs, counting together and individual practice. Students will learn math facts through math games, songs, and individual practice.
I am a certified teacher with 15+ years of teaching in the public, private, homeschool, university, online or private tutoring sector. I have been Charlotte Mason trained through Ambleside. I have a dynamic teaching style and animated approach to teaching and learning. I've taken morning meeting and writers notebook workshops and have years of classroom experience implementing this in my classroom and tutoring sessions. I'm trained to teach Saxon math in grades 1-4 and utilize a variety of methods in order to be successful. I am a mental health workshop facilitator which provides resiliency skills to kids through games, role playing, crafts and socratic group discussions. My socratic discussion style helps all kids look beyond the surface and critically think for themselves. Parent Comments: This class is perfect.
