In this flex class, students will learn math skills through art. Each week, 2 math activities will be presented. Topic will be presented via video and students will be given an art activity to complete to practice the skills learned in class. Instruction will be provided to fit multiple learning levels. I have a BS and M.Ed in Family and Child Development and Early Childhood Education as well as ten years classroom teaching experience teaching all subject PK-2. I'm also a homeschool parent and have taught math skills ranging from Preschool to sixth grade level math skills.
A supply list for each week will be provided in the classroom.
No live meetings, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
Parents should supervise their learner as needed based on art project and the learner's ability level. Most projects will use basic art supplies. Week 4 includes two cooking activities. As such, learns will need parental supervision as appropriate for their age and ability level. These two cooking activities can also be done as drawings instead.
