Class Experience

In this six-week class, I will walk students through the basics of Algebra 1 skills such as expressions, order of operations, adding rational numbers, add/subtract/multiply/divide rational numbers, the distributive property, combining like terms and percent of change. I will demonstrate the steps needed to solve the problem and have the students watch. Then the students will work through several problems with me and be encouraged to talk me through solving the problems. After this, students...

I'm a certified math teacher and have taught middle school math for 8 years. I've worked with students who have learning disabilities as well as students who are gifted.
