This trial session is designed to give your child the opportunity to try out the class to see if it is a good fit for them before signing up for the full course. The description of the full course can be found below: This course is great for students who have some knowledge of the Spanish language, but it is not a requirement. There will be plenty of visuals provided to support students of various abilities. The primary focus will be on addition, subtraction, and the use of a number line. We will read simple stories that incorporate these skills and concepts, which will enable students to develop both mathematical and linguistic skills. Each lesson will start off with a quick preview of the concepts in English, but the majority of the class will be led in Spanish. Students will be encouraged to speak as much Spanish as possible, but they will allowed to use English to ask how to say certain words in Spanish. Feel free to ask if you have any questions regarding the course, and I look forward to working with you and your children!

I will share books and links to websites that have virtual math manipulatives. I can also provide copies of the books and materials via Google Drive or email. :)
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

I am a certified bilingual professional with international experience and a passion for working with all learners, especially those learning English or Spanish as a second language. I have worked as a dual language elementary school educator in both one-way and two-way immersion programs. I am so proud of not only the linguistic skills that both my native English-speaking and native Spanish-speaking students have acquired, but also the positive cross-cultural attitudes and behaviors they have developed!
I have taught children as young as three years old, and adults of all ages. I find something special about each age. I have over ten years of experience as a full-time, bilingual elementary school teacher, and began my online teaching adventure in 2017. I have experience teaching math, language arts, social studies, and science at the elementary school level. I also teach Spanish, English as a foreign or second language, and mindfulness courses. I have so much fun connecting with people from all over the world, and I feel so grateful to be an educator!
