Hello and welcome! In this class...a-hem, gameshow, students will play the judges as they learn about the four types of camouflage animals use in the wild. * Concealing Coloration * Disruptive Coloration * Disguise * Mimicry In the beginning of class, I will introduce the four categories of camouflage. They will sort the camo-contestants into each category. Once locked down, the students will vote on which animal best represents each category of camouflage. This vote is important because the goal of our animal contestants is to trick potential predators. Students will be encouraged to think about what animals make them feel the most tricked. At the end of the vote for each category, students will take turns reading about the finalists. Students will make the final vote by writing down which animal they think is the overall King of Camouflage. This is an interactive class where students will all have the opportunity to apply what they learn about camouflage as they take turns discussing the animal contestants.
Learning Goals
Students will learn how to identify the four main types of camoflauge in animals.

**SCHEDULE NOTICE**
Hello Parents and Students! Thank you for taking interest in my classes! I will be on a temporary hiatus. I will be expanding my class content
Hello and welcome!
With fourteen years experience teaching and tutoring, my passion for inspiring my students to investigate the world around them has only continued to grow with each year.
As a teacher, my goal is to build my students' confidence and knowledge by giving them the tools they need to become great investigators and problem solvers. Topics we will explore a variety of topics that fall under biology and animal sciences. Students will learn how to conduct their own scientific investigations, collect data, and observe the beautiful world around them.
I have a Bachelor's in Biology. I have three years teaching experience in the classroom and online. I also 13 years tutoring science subjects for grades K-12 up into college level biology courses. Besides teaching, I spent four years in field research monitoring wildlife populations, and two years in the lab on research projects for Cystic Fibrosis and Pancreatic Cancer.
I spend my free time gardening, trying fun new recipes, and playing a little bit of Animal Crossing.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you in class soon!
