Class Experience
In each Monet Masterpiece class, we'll create a beautiful artwork together, step-by-step! After a brief introduction covering part of Monet's career, students will follow along with a teacher-led demonstration to create their own miniature masterpieces. Although specific instruction will be provided, students are encouraged to add their own unique, creative details to their paintings & drawings. Throughout the class, we will cover a range of artistic techniques and subjects, which...
Students will learn and practice drawing strategies, oil pastel techniques, and watercolor painting techniques. We will learn about the characteristics of a new artwork each day, and apply them to the artworks we create together.
As a traditional classroom teacher, many of the lessons I designed were inspired by the work of master artists throughout history. This class combines all of my very favorite things: artist studies, art history, drawing, painting, and still leaves room for each student's unique creative spark. I'm excited to share these quick, fun lessons with my students!
Some students may wish to use extra time to finish their artworks.
