Class Experience
This ongoing class will focus on tackling word problems using the Singapore Math Bar Models. Learners will learn how to break down challenging word problems to improve logical thinking skills. The learning journey begins with the concrete and pictorial stages, followed by the abstract stage to enable them to learn mathematics meaningfully. All of the Mentorhood Teachers are trained with teaching the Singapore bar modelling method.
We will go through part of the worksheets in class and the rest as homework. It's highly recommended the learners to complete the homework after class but it's not required.
Materials will be provided before class digitally, learners are required to have a printed copy ready for class.
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
