Class Experience

US Grade 8 - 11
In order for students to do their best in math, it helps to master the calculator. The TI-83 or 84 is the most common graphing calculator allowed on math assessments, such as the SAT, ACT, and other formal assessments important to maximizing academic potential. I will teach students, how to graph functions, use tables, create matrices, and calculate common statistics needed for analysis. I will be displaying the graphing calculator, as we discuss the most important features that every student should master and apply daily in the classroom. Students will be guided through a series of lessons designed to improve all students understanding of the calculator. Students will be able to interact with me at all times, asking questions as needed.
Learning Goals
Students will improve their understanding of the calculator and begin utilizing its deeper features to quickly and confidently solve problems on formal assessments in school, such as the SAT/ACT.
