Hi parents! Does your child need to practice their paragraphs? This engaging class utilizes the hamburger method to create a juicy paragraph. Through the use of the I Do, We Do, You Do method, students will be fully equipped to enhance their writing skills. Class Lesson Plan: 1. Welcome 2. Discuss paragraph examples 3. Writing Prompt Options (students choose 1): My Favorite Superhero If I could be a Superhero I would be... 4. Guided Brainstorming Session 5. Assembling the Burger (Paragraph Writing) 6. Share Time This class will move at a steady pace, but as a teacher, my priority is teacher-student relationships. Students do not need to mute themselves, as participation and engagement is encouraged. Together we will work through each segment of the lesson plan with the I Do, We Do, You Do method. This ensures that students have a firm grasp before doing the task independently. At the end of our class, I have dedicated time for students to share their paragraphs. Reading their work out loud empowers students in their reading, writing and public speaking skills, but it is not a requirement. If the 5 sentence paragraph is beyond your child’s current level, check out my Beginner Paragraph Breakdown class.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Teaching is my happy place!
In 2012, I received an AA in Social/Behavioral Sciences. A few years later, I returned to school for my 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training Certificate and began teaching both yoga and fitness classes to children. I earned my Bachelors in Educational Studies, with an emphasis on Elementary Education in Summer 2023.
I have worked with elementary students in small group settings on reading strategies, writing improvement and math concepts since 2013. Currently I am a stay at home mom to my 13 month old daughter.
I believe in meeting your child where they are at and helping them find growth, foster a sense of curiosity and discover a love of learning.
In my writing classes, I make the task of writing a paragraph fun rather than daunting. In my yoga classes we combine engaging activities with movement. In my reading and book club classes we take our love of books and work on both our reading and reading comprehension skills.
Reading is my number one hobby. And I need more bookshelves. Always. My husband and I are recent transplants to the lovely state of Utah with our two dogs, Lola and Zoey.
