This is a continuation of part I and learners will learn how to effectively write four more five-paragraph essays: classification, personal narrative, research, and cause and effect essays.

 Week 1
Lesson 1
𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤 𝟏: Introduction to Writing and Classification Essay
Objective: Student will learn how to develop a detailed outline. Part 1 focused on the basic outline structure. Student will practice structuring paragraphs (topic sentence, main idea, thesis statements, concluding/transitional sentences, and the upside down conclusion). Student will learn how to develop and write a classification essay.
 Week 2
Lesson 2
𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤 𝟐: Personal narrative
Objective: Students will develop and write a personal narrative based on Common Application prompts.
 Week 3
Lesson 3
𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤 𝟑: Research Paper
Objective: Student will learn to support claims through research.
 Week 4
Lesson 4
𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤 𝟒: Cause and Effect Essay
Objective: Student will learn develop and write a cause/effect paper with at least three solutions.
Learners will learn how to write formal essays.
Learners will learn how to use outlines and graphic organizers.
Homework Offered
Weekly writing assignments will be given and learners will have five days to submit their work.
1 - 2 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
Feedback will be provided both in-text and on a rubric.

The rubric and feedback guidelines are attached. The PPT from the course will be posted after class. *Writing program or application to submit assignments (.doc, .docx, .pdf, .pages, .rtf, .txt, GoogleDocs, etc) or the assignments may be typed directly in the chatbox options. Images will not receive feedback (.jpg, j.jpeg, .png, etc)
