Intermediate - Advanced Level
Students will learn how to express their opinions clearly, structure arguments logically, and engage in respectful discussions on various topics. They will practice speaking persuasively, listening to opposing viewpoints, and responding effectively. Key skills include critical thinking, public speaking, and the ability to analyze different perspectives. Students will also learn how to present evidence, use rhetorical techniques, and debate confidently in Spanish. The class will help improve communication skills while encouraging respectful exchange of ideas. Topics : Week 1: January 27 th Gratitude / Beauty in Other Cultures Week 2:Feb 3rd Are video games beneficial or harmful for young people? Week 3: Feb 10thThe Concept of Lying in Different Cultures Week 4: Feb 17th Is It Better to Travel the World or Stay in One Place? Week 5: Febr 24th Is Fast Fashion Harmful or Helpful for Society? Week 6:Monday 3rd Is It Important to Learn About History in School? We will begin with an introduction, offering a brief explanation of the topic and presenting the key points of the debate. I'll Provide students with key points and facts to support their arguments (articles or videos) Allow time for students to prepare their arguments and organize their thoughts and discuse it. Students willsplit into two groups: one side will defend a point of view, arguing in favor, while the other side will refute or oppose that point of view. We will summarize the key points from both sides of the debate. Finally, we will discuss potential solutions or alternatives. *****Classes restart at the end of week 6; It is not necessary to start in week 1 because the classes do not follow a sequence.****

Teacher expertise and credentials
I am a native Spanish speaker teaching Spanish Immersion in The United States 4 years ago. I teach in classroom and online for kids from pre k- high school.
I also teach Spanish for adults as volunteer.
I graduated at the university 15 year ago in Businness Administration and hydrocarbons administration technicianand. I have been homeschooling since 2019. My homeschool runs on the eclectic model and bilingual education (English and Spanish). I'm teaching Immersion Spanish and Cooking & Culture in Spanish in a homeschool co-op in a classroom and online in the United States for non- native speakers.
My son is my greatest accomplishment.
I am a lifelong learner, my favorite teaching scenarios are those in which wonder dictates discovery.
