✋Hello Outschool Families and Learners,🤚 Thank you for taking the time to check out Road to Grammar: Middle School Grammar Full Curriculum! ⭐︎Class Outline: My middle school grammar curriculum consists of 40 lessons, divided into two semesters. This class will cover the first semester, which includes the first 20 lessons. The second semester will be available closer to January for learners who wish to continue their studies after completing this class. ⭐︎Grammar Notebook (Online or Physical): Learners will create an interactive grammar notebook throughout the course. Each week, a printout will be provided before class to be glued into their notebook for note-taking. This notebook serves as both a learning tool and a valuable resource for future reference. For those who prefer, an online notebook is acceptable, and in this case, printouts are not needed. ⭐︎Additional Practice: After each class, an additional practice sheet will be posted to reinforce the concept taught. Learners should complete this sheet and send it to me for review. ⭐︎Teaching Approach: Each session will feature an engaging and interactive Google Slides or Nearpod presentation. Learners will actively participate by matching, drawing, dissecting, and writing about the grammar concept being taught. Occasionally, we will use Blooket games to make learning fun and exciting. Lessons will include demonstrations, prompts, and individual practice to ensure sustained engagement and comprehension. ⭐︎Teaching Philosophy: My teaching philosophy is inspired by Benjamin Franklin’s wisdom: "Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn." I believe that active participation and hands-on learning are crucial for mastering grammar concepts. ⭐︎Experience: With a decade of experience as an educator across multiple subjects, I bring extensive knowledge to each class. I am dedicated to personalized learning and can adapt to meet the diverse needs of my learners, adjusting the pace as necessary. ⭐︎Prerequisites: Learners should have a solid understanding of grammar fundamentals from their elementary education. This foundation will prepare them for the more advanced concepts covered in Middle School Grammar.
