Description
Class Experience
This class is taught in English.
Students will improve their understanding and ability to solve equations.
I have taught middle school math for 10 years. I have taught 6th grade, 7th grade, 8th grade/pre-algebra, and Algebra 1, so I am very familiar with the middle school math curriculum. I have tutoring experience as well from grade 5 through Algebra 1.
The weekly videos that are posted at the beginning of each week will take about 10-25 minutes to complete if students are actively taking notes along with the video. Practice problems/activities will be assigned with each video posted. This allows students to have independent thinking/practice with the skill that was covered. The practice should take no more than 30 minutes.
Students will be provided with lesson resources before the beginning of each week. These resources may be printed if a printer is available. If not, students can copy down in a math notebook.
If students choose to send me their work, I will look it over and respond with feedback. Students will also be assessed with a weekly quiz.
No live meetings, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
