Class Experience

In this one-time course, students will learn how to convert units of measure using dimensional analysis.  In the study of physical quantities, it is of the utmost importance to understand dimensions and converting from one unit of measure to another.  Physical quantities such as length, mass and time are used in the study of mathematics, chemistry, physics and engineering.  Students will continue to use dimensional analysis throughout their schooling, so understanding the process is crucial. ...

This class is taught in English.

Student will master the process of dimensional analysis to convert units of measure.

Practice problems will be posted in the classroom after class.  Solutions will also be posted so that students can check their work.

Pencil, paper and a scientific calculator.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

Available upon request.
