In this one time class, learners will gain an understanding of adult proportion and learn tricks and tips to help them draw people with confidence! The session will start with a short discussion about drawing people and then we will begin to map out the proportions of the body with simple shapes. Using a second camera showing my live demonstration I will explain and give hints and tips as I draw. I vary my pace depending on the ability of the group and always ensure no one is left behind! Learners are encouraged to unmute and discuss their work and/or use emojis to communicate. When learners have drawn the basic figure I will guide them as they add clothing, hairstyles, shoes etc. For this part they are encouraged to be as imaginative and individual as they like and I am there to help them if they need support. At the end of the class, learners have the option to share their work with the group if they would like to. I am a qualified art teacher with over 13 years experience and I love to help students develop their abilities! All my drawing exercises are tried and tested and have helped thousands of children and adults to improve their drawing skills. It is important to me that I give my students technical skills and understanding that can be applied when they are drawing independently rather than just copying a picture during a lesson. No experience is necessary and this class is very suitable for beginner artists. (However, learners who really lack confidence in art may wish to book onto one of my "Build Art Skills and Confidence" courses first as a starting point.) Learners will need a ruler, paper, a pencil and an eraser. If you have any questions about this class please do not hesitate to message me!
